Another Lonely V-Day?

So, I'm spending this Valentine's Day without a date, as usual.
I've never actually dated anyone, so being single on Valentine's Day is the norm. Heck, I don't know what I would be supposed to do today if I were in a romantic relationship. Like, what's the proper price range for a gift?? How do I respond to him giving me flowers?? Do I really HAVE to watch a romantic comedy, or can we just watch Marvel movies and over-analyze every little detail in a attempt to predict what will happen in the next ones?? Can we skip the gross part and just do the cutesy part where we give each other teddy bears and don't swap spit because that makes me uncomfortable??

Yeah, you're probably scoffing at me, but you know what? That's okay.
It's perfectly okay to celebrate Valentine's Day without a date. It's perfectly okay that I never have had one.
Valentine's Day is a celebration of love, and there's more than one kind. I can choose not to be another miserable single person on Valentine's Day.

Today I celebrate my family and friends.
I celebrate my mom, who does so much for us kids, and I'm not afraid to tell about my troubles.
My dad, who is always willing to discuss my fanfiction with a grin on his face.
My siblings, who I will always look up to, despite having to look down to speak to them, as I am currently the tallest child.
My godly friends, who I know will be with me to the end of the line.
My grandparents, who are always willing to provide wisdom.
My future husband, who I know God is working in, and that I'll meet him someday.
My dogs, who are always willing to cuddle.
My church, who will always pray for me and help me in my spiritual journey.
Most of all, today I celebrate my Savior, Jesus Christ. It was his love for me that kept him on that cross, held him in Hell, and brought him back from the grave. Today, I celebrate more than just eros, romantic love. I also celebrate phileo, brotherly love, and agape, sacrificial love.

And also, it's fun to share the "Forever Alone" meme.

Have a great Valentine's Day!
